Walking Buddy Press
Walking Buddy spreads your step goal across the day: reminders that say how many steps to take right now, not "walk more".
Walking Buddy is a step-goal app for iOS that reads steps from Apple Health and turns the goal into reminders sized to the day: each nudge says how many steps to take now to stay on pace, and stops once the goal is done. It learns your usual pace from the past four weeks, tracks streaks that tolerate rest days, and keeps a year of history with trends and records. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics; nothing leaves the phone. The app is free; Walking Buddy Pro (custom reminder schedules, streak protection, deeper insights) is $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year with a 7-day trial.
What sets it apart
- Reminders carry a number: "1,200 steps in the next 30 minutes keeps you on pace."
- Reminders stop when the goal is reached, and only fire during the hours you choose.
- "Your usual pace" compares today with your typical day and projects where it lands.
- Streaks with rest days; on Pro, one missed day a week does not break the streak.
- Reads Apple Health only; no account, no ads, no analytics, no servers.
- English, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese; VoiceOver and Dynamic Type throughout.

About the developer
Raphael Koebraam is a software engineer who builds Walking Buddy alone. He made it to spread his own walking across the day instead of one long walk in the morning or evening, with reminders that say how many steps to take, not just "time to stand".
